Wash dishes or put them in the dishwasher right after using them, wipe counters, sweep and mop the floor regularly, and take out the trash frequently so you don’t attract ants into your kitchen.
Use Bait to Wipe out the Colony
A spray that is used in a localized area won’t take care of a widespread ant problem. To do that, you need to use bait to deal with the entire colony. Depending on the season, ants may prefer protein or sweet, fatty, or oily foods. You can use an ant bait to attract ants that are scouting for food. They will then carry the bait back to the colony, where it will poison others.
